Curious about jiu-jitsu? Come experience what a real class feels like.
Preview Night is a free class we run once a month — you'll get live training from the fundamentals, playing real games from real positions. No experience required. No pressure to join. Just come in and train.
What Happens at Preview Night
A real class. From the fundamentals. No experience needed.
Preview Night is a small group class — capped at 12 people — where you actually train. We're not hiding what jiu-jitsu feels like. You'll come in, learn the fundamentals, and play live.
We start by introducing what jiu-jitsu is and what it isn't. Then you'll play a series of fundamental games from three positions: standing, grounded, and pinned. These aren't full jiu-jitsu rounds — they're focused games that teach you the core logic of each position. About 30 minutes of live work, all from the basics.
Partners are assigned so everyone works with someone at their level. If you bring a friend, you can work together. At the end, we sit down and have a short conversation about how the cohort program works and what comes next. No hard sell. Just a real talk.

How It Connects to the Cohort
Preview Night is where the cohort starts for most people.
We time Preview Night 1–2 weeks before each cohort opens specifically so that if you love the session, the cohort sign-up is right there — not weeks away. You don't have to decide at Preview Night. But if you're ready, the timing works.
Most people who attend Preview Night and want to continue sign up for the cohort that same month. The 8-class cohort picks up exactly where Preview Night leaves off.
And if you attend and decide jiu-jitsu isn't for you: that's also a good outcome. You'll know for certain, it cost you nothing, and you spent an hour doing something you've probably been curious about for a while.
Bringing a friend? You can train together — we'll pair you up.
